About Us

Meet Akina is a social good company and first of its kind Community-as-a-Service (CaaS) platform for Black women and mothers who are searching for community, connection, and information.

Meet Akina serves as a digital village. Originally developed for black mothers, we are now attracting allies and co-conspirators- women of other ethnicities raising multi-racial children as well as black women without children who simply desire nurturing community environment. Meet Akina provides a space for learning and healing. We provide the opportunity to connect with like-minded women, while also providing a library of on-demand educational archives, and a robust list of resources on everything from mental health, to career advancement, to pre- and post-natal care.

"If we give our children sound self-love, they will be able to deal with whatever life puts before them."
- Bell Hooks

As a black woman, the decision to love yourself just as you are is a radical act. And I’m as radical as they come.”
